The TUC has launched a “Fair Pay for Key Workers” Campaign, seeking to ensure that everyone who has put themselves on the line to keep the country going during the pandemic receives an appropriate level of pay.
The Campaign has four main Objectives:
- A minimum wage of at least £10 per hour
- An end to the pay freeze announced in November 2020 for everyone in the public sector outside the NHS
- Workers on outsourced contracts for the public sector to receive at least the Living Wage
- A fair pay review process for those in the NHS
The TUC is calling on everyone to lobby their MP in the week beginning 22nd February, especially if they live in key constituencies; and to join an “online rally” on Tuesday 2nd March, the day before the Budget.
Find out more about the TUC’s Campaign, including how to lobby your MP, and how to join a briefing session if you want to get more involved.
