Joint Consultation and Negotiation Committee – Summary for August 2020

MINUTES Yasmin Leonard – Employee Relations Adviser

A number of proposed policy changes were discussed. Due to employees working from home where possible to minimise the spread of Coronavirus, the meeting took place via Teams.
NGSU formally raised the following items:
– the payment of the Homeworkers Allowance (as we approach the autumn and winter months
– the style and content of Joint Statements going forward
– Conference Motion 50 – Free feminine hygiene products being made available throughout all work spaces
– TUC employer pledge on Terminal illness.

A number of papers were provided for noting in respect of Pensions, Coronavirus temporary changes, People & Culture Policy Simplification, PeopleCloud (new HR system), MyRewards, Essential User Mileage and Exit Management updates.

A number of actions were agreed with regards to the above and actions were closed in respect of PeopleCloud, performance enablement, ViewPoint, pensions, a number of Coronavirus related queries, Branch Network resourcing review and security & resilience.

The next JCNC will take place on 10 September 2020.
