A number of proposed policy changes were discussed and the JCNC received presentations from a number of guests.
Holly Aitkenhead returned to JCNC to provide a further update on implementing a new HR system.
Karen Weedon provided the quarterly Exit Management update looking at leavers from July 2019 to September 2019.
The NGSU requested an overview of the Arthur Webb projects and NGSU feedback will be provided to the Internal Communications team.
Julie McCarthy provided an overview of the Gender and Ethnicity Pay Gap. The Gender Pay Gap will be reported on 4 December 2019 and for the first time a report on the Ethnicity Pay Gap will also be provided.
Amanda Miles gave an update on the Learning Organisation Initiatives, Apprenticeships and Graeme Burns updated on the Nationwide Learning portal.
Sarah Harber returned to JCNC to provide an update on the Phishing Academy which has been deemed successful.
The JCNC noted the monthly People Metrics data, Pensions papers and the Policy Simplification Plan. The FTAW summary was reviewed and a slide pack provided on Catering prices and Clix machines and the NGSU requested further insight into the catering subsidy. A number of actions were agreed with regards to the above and progress on Union motions discussed. Actions were closed in respect of Peoplesoft New Leavers codes, Pensions and MI data for absence and leavers within a specified Community.
The next JCNC will take place on 12 December 2019.
