Greg Craft and Kate Dawson provided an overview of Nationwide’s entry talent schemes, including the Graduate and Apprenticeship programmes. Neil Lewis provided an update on the HR Systems Upgrade Project and also the impact of HMRC Real Time Information legislation.

Catherine Barford and Thomas Dear attended to discuss a number of areas relating to data protection, including the Society’s review of the recently published Subject Access Request Code of Practice. It was agreed that Information Security would further engage NGSU regarding a refresh of the existing Data Protection policy in the New Year. Conversations are on-going regarding the proposed use of employee photographs as part of the intranet transformation project.

The NGSU raised concerns regarding a recent communication concerning the Company Car scheme and it was agreed that this would be discussed at a future JCNC.

The JCNC agreed a number of actions in relation to the matters discussed and the items to be included in the update for the Employee Involvement Committee. The next JCNC will take place on 22 October 2013.
